2015 - What Was Significant?

My Shingles Rash...It May Be Small but It was Mighty.
Sitting at breakfast on the morning of the 31st some asked me "What was the most significant thing that happened to you in 2015?" I gave it a little thought and answered hesitantly. Shingles. It may seem like a little thing but it changed the trajectory of the next 8 to 10 months.

The little rash on my face was painful, debilitating and contagious. Out of clinical for three weeks, I was unable to complete the requires hours to graduate on time. Even more so when I was no longer contagious,t he lingering fatigue and headaches kept me from working at 100%.

This little rash changed the trajectory of things I cannot even begin to compute. There are jobs that have been rescinded, contracts extended and costs incurred. I'm not sure what will come of this but for now I'm glad it's over and I work to make peace with the process.
